Here is a little peak at today's Wonderful Wednesday: We played Hungry Hippos, Dominos and Animal Logic. We colored together. Danced to silly music. Played dress-up and baked cookies. And all that before lunch! Way too many tiny treasures to count. I am unbelievably blessed.

Wonderful Wednesdays
I love Wednesdays! It is the one day each week that we keep completely open. No chores, no school and no Little Gym! Just me and the kids tucked into the house together! I'm especially soaking it in today, because I've had Kindergarten on my mind quite a bit lately and I know my Wednesdays with Eden are numbered. Oh, how I will miss them! I honestly don't think I can ever completely express how precious this time is with Eden and Levi! Way too special for words.

A Well Timed Kiss
Remember how excited I was yesterday about the kids having their very first slumber party? Well, all that excitement wore off around 5 PM tonight, when lack of sleep got the best of all of us!
Wow, I had a couple of cranky monsters on my hands! Dinner and bath time were a wee bit of a challenge. And, just as I was about to lose it: Asking Levi for the third time to get his PJ's on, he jumped into my arms and gave me a sweet kiss on the cheek. Then he smiled at me - in his perfect little way!
Just to sweeten the deal, he then went on to tell me that the star sticker on his wall (a teeny little thing next to his door) is there because he, "loves, loves, loves" me. I (of course) love, love, love him too!

Slumber Party
Eden and Levi had their very first slumber party tonight! Levi was so excited and Eden was quite possibly the sweetest big sister ever!
They looked at way too many books, raided the playroom for a few "nightlights" (light-sabers, an airplane with a light on top and a Tinkerbell toy from Disneyland), and played together for about an hour. When it started to get way past their bedtime and I could hear footsteps running from Levi's room to the playroom for more toys - I knew it was time to say goodnight.
I gave Eden the option of staying in Levi's room to sleep or going back to her room. She decided to go to her room, but a few minutes later I heard her door open and this is what I found when I went to tuck them in:

This is huge for us! More than anything Scott and I want Eden and Levi to share special little moments like this one and form a relationship that will happily last a lifetime. To me, there just isn't anything more precious in life than seeing my kids loving each other. What an amazing tiny treasure.

A Granny A Day!

I have a few things on my list to try to learn or do in 2010. Making a Granny Square is one of them. I've signed up for the Granny Square Challenge! So far I've completed "round one". Lots more to learn. Just for kicks, I'll track my progress here. My wobbly yarn creations should be good for a laugh or two.
Today's Tiny Treasures: Scott stayed home from work today and we had a wonderful family day! A quiet morning with snuggles on the couch and lunch out on the town! I loved it!
